Gamepads
Xbox gamepad
The Xbox gamepad works best on PC: Windows and games are built around it.
Wired
Plug in a USB cable and Windows installs the driver itself. That's it.
Bluetooth
Works with Xbox One S and newer, and with Series pads.
- On the PC: Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Add device → Bluetooth.
- Turn the gamepad on with the Xbox button, then hold the small pair button on top, next to the USB port, until the Xbox button blinks fast.
- Pick "Xbox Wireless Controller" from the list.
Xbox Wireless Adapter
Lower latency and up to 8 gamepads. Pairing works the same way: the button on the adapter, then the pair button on the gamepad.
A wireless Xbox 360 pad needs its own receiver: it doesn't work over Bluetooth.
