PIN and security

Another phone on the same network can't control your PC without the PIN.

PIN code

By default the server asks for a PIN that's only visible in its window. A phone enters the PIN once when it connects.

  • New PIN: changes the code. If you think someone saw your PIN, change it and press "Disconnect all".
  • Require PIN: can be turned off if you're alone on your home network. Better to leave it on.
  • Disconnect all: kicks every connected phone right away.

What the server can and can't do

Rulik Server only accepts control input: gamepad buttons, mouse movement, key presses and text. It has no access to your files, screen or camera, and it sends nothing to the internet: everything stays on your network or cable.
